How to make pastry trees

For the ultimate festive party nibble, try a batch of these easy pastry Christmas trees. Strips of puff pastry and a savoury layer of pesto and Parmesan are swirled up then baked for an adorable hand-held canapé.

Ingredients:

Ready rolled puff pastry
Tesco Finest pesto
Grated pecorino
Tesco Finest jalapeño-stuffed olives 

Method:

Unroll your puff pastry sheet and spread with your Tesco Finest pesto then sprinkle with pecorino. Cut your pastry into strips then gently fold each strip towards you and away from you until you have a 3-layered ‘tree’ shape. Fix the pastry with a skewer and bake at 200°C for 10 minutes. Once baked top each skewer with an olive and enjoy.
