This frozen custard sundae is the ultimate festive treat. Top your sweet, homemade ice cream with pears, salted caramel and mini gingerbread men. See method

Ingredients

  • ½ 400g can Tesco Ready to Serve Custard
  • 200ml double cream
  • 200g condensed milk
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon​
  • 1 x pack Tesco 10 Mini Gingerbread Men, 4 roughly crumbled

To serve

  • 3 tinned pear halves, sliced
  • 2 tbsp salted caramel
If you don't have any pears, try using apples

Method

1. Pour the custard, cream, condensed milk and cinnamon into a large bowl. Using electric beaters, whisk the mixture for 3-4 mins, until it has increased in volume and holds soft peaks. Fold through most of the gingerbread men, saving 1 tbsp for serving. Pour the mixture into a 1L freezer proof tub and freeze for a minimum of 6 hrs, or overnight.

2. To serve, scoop two balls of ice cream per person. Add slices of pear. Drizzle ½ tbsp salted caramel over each serving and sprinkle over the crumbled gingerbread men. Serve with a gingerbread man.
