Method

  1. Preheat the air-fryer to 200C.
  2. Cut the baguette into thin slices and drizzle over a little oil. Toast in the air fryer for 1-2mins, until the edges have browned and crisped. Tip out of the air-fryer onto a serving board.
  3. Unwrap the brie or camembert and put either into a small heat-safe dish that fits in your air-fryer or back in the wooden box the cheese was packaged in. Lightly score the top of the cheese in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife.
  4. Cook in the air-fryer for 5mins, the edges should be golden brown. Carefully lift the cheese out of the air-fryer and top with the walnut pieces.
  5. Spoon over the chutney or glaze, covering the nuts. Lift back into the air-fryer and cook for another 2-5mins, checking regularly, until the chutney is runny and the nuts at the edges are toasted and browned.
  6. Let stand for 2mins before serving with the crisp baguette, you may need to scoop out the first bite with a spoon so that the baguette can get to the melty cheese centre.

Tip: This is best served while warm and runny and ready in under 15mins so be sure to wait until your guests have arrived before preheating the air-fryer.
