Ingredients

  • 280g pack The Tofoo Co extra firm tofu, drained and cut into 1-2cm cubes
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • pinch chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil​
  • chopped fresh coriander, to serve (optional)

For the sauce

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp runny honey
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

Method

1. Preheat the air-fryer to 200°C.

2. Pat dry the drained tofu and put into a bowl. Sprinkle over the cornflour, white pepper, chilli flakes and sesame seeds and season with salt and black pepper. Toss well until coated, then drizzle over the oil, tossing to coat.

3. Put the tofu pieces into the air-fryer, well-spaced. Cook for 15 mins, shaking every 5 mins, until golden and very crisp.

4. For the sauce, put all the ingredients into a heat-safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 mins, stirring regularly, until steaming. Mix well and set aside to cool. Serve alongside the crispy tofu bites or drizzle over and toss to glaze if you prefer.
