Ingredients

  • 800g Maris Piper potatoes, peeled
  • 1 tbsp groundnut or vegetable oil
  • pinch of flaky sea salt
If you haven't got any Maris Pipers, try using King Edward potatoes

Method

1. Slice the potatoes lengthways into 1cm thick chips and put into a bowl of cold water for 5 mins to soak.

2. Preheat the air-fryer to 200°C.

3. Drain the chips and pat dry with kitchen roll. Toss with the oil and sea salt until evenly coated. Tip into the basket, in a roughly even layer – you may need to cook them in 2 batches.

4. Cook for 20-25 mins, shaking occasionally, until well browned.

5. Tip into a bowl, sprinkle with a little more salt and let cool for 5 mins before serving.
