Our meal planner is a handy online tool to help you plan meals ahead of time. Our meal planner generates delicious recipes for you to try over 5 or 7 days based on your likes and dislikes. You can swap recipes in and out of your meal plan as you go, so if there's anything you don't fancy or want to add in to your week it can be easily added or taken away.

Start at ‘Create a meal plan’. Fill in your preferences to generate a customised meal plan, or go straight to featured or customer meal plans for inspiration. You can also try our leftovers tool to generate recipe ideas based on what's left in your cupboard or fridge. All meal plans can be edited, saved and customised to suit your needs.

A featured meal plan is a week's worth of recipes for each meal time (breakfast, lunch and dinner) created by the Real Food team. We've put together a range of meal plans based on healthy diets, seasonal cooking and special occasions for you to try and enjoy.

Customers using the meal planner can save and publish their plans to Real Food for other customers to use. You can easily browse customer meal plans, and then edit a version of them to make as your own!

You can switch to edit mode at any time in meal planner by clicking on ‘Edit meal plan’ in the meal planner toolbar.
In edit mode you can hover over recipes to swap them for different options or search for a new recipe on Real Food. You can even try swapping recipes around by dragging them into different slots in your meal plan.
You may also like to give your meal plan a unique name – simply click the ‘My meal plan’ title to change it. You can also add notes to your recipes.

Yes! You can shop for ingredients on individual recipes by hovering over them and clicking on the blue basket. You can also shop for all the ingredients in your entire meal plan by clicking ‘Shop ingredients’ in the meal planner toolbar. You will then be directed straight to tesco.com/groceries where you can edit your shopping basket, check out and book your delivery slot.

You may need to broaden your search criteria by reducing the number of preferences ticked when creating your meal plan. This will help to include a wider range of recipe ideas based on your likes and dislikes.

You can save your meal plan by clicking ‘Share’ in the meal planner toolbar. This will give you a unique website address to access your meal plan at any time.

You can email your meal plan or share it via Facebook or Twitter.

You can print your meal plan by clicking ‘Print meal plan’ in the meal planner toolbar.

You can add notes to any recipes in your meal plan. Click on ‘Edit meal plan’ in the meal planner toolbar and click on the ‘Add another recipe or note’ link under any recipe.
